Yes, it was expected anytime and now the official news is out that Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from the ODI cricket format. Over the last few years, Sachin Tendulkar has suffered from various injuries and bad form, which forced Sachin Tendulkar to take such a big decision. Although, it’s quite evident that Sachin has played only limited ODI series in the last 3-4 years, yet there were few memorable innings in between. Nevertheless, Sachin has finally decided to bid goodbye to the ODI cricket !

Sachin Tendulkar has announced his retirement from the ODI cricket format. The announcement comes as the selectors meet to select the team to play against Pakistan starting on 25th December 2012. In a press release Sachin said- “he felt blessed to be part of the 2011 World Cup winning team”. Sachin Tendulkar also mentioned that he is stepping aside to help the team to build up for the upcoming world cup i.e. in 2015. The little master-blaster also thanked all his well-wishers and the Indian people for their support and love.
