Son of Sardaar, also known as SOS, is a romantic drama film directed by Ashwni Dhir a remake Telugu movie Maryada Ramanna directed by S. S. Rajamouli, which in itself is a remake of the 1923 American silent movie Our Hospitality starring Buster Keaton and Natalie Talmadge. The film features Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles.

Son of Sardaar is going to be a typical Ajay Devgn film, an out-n-out masala film with truck loads of drama, comedy, romance and action. With Son of Sardaar you will certainly feel the touch of Rohit Shetty, yes…Ajay Devgn along side Rohit Shetty has learned the art of masala film making and it’s pretty much reflective in this film even though Rohit is not part of the film. Taking a feather out of Akshay Kumar’s hat, Ajay Devgn has made his own version of “Singh is King”, depicting a role of Sardaar, Ajay plays the main lead of the film.

The film comprises of mockery of events resulting in unavoidable confusions and unapologetic drama. Romance is but of course the cause of all of it, turning a garam sardaar to a naram aashiq falling in love with a Punjaban girl, who is bindaas and chulbuly, played by Sonakshi Sinha. It’s the full Punjabi madness that catches Sardaar’s eye, but he loses his heart to her and then the story goes on…….If you enjoy comedy, you will like the movie, but please don’t go behind the logic, simply leave your brains at home before leaving for the film. So, if you want to come out of your daily depressing routine, Son Of Sardaar can be a good watch.

This Diwali there will be two blockbusters releasing together to complete against each other. Yes, no kidding there will be fire crackers not just outside your homes but also at the thousands of cinemas across the nation because this time it’s “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” Vs “Son Of Sardaar”. Both the movies have the star power, on one side it’s the King Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and on the other side it’s Ajay Devgn, who hasn’t had a bad film for last so many years.

It has become almost highly predictable that whenever there will be situation where apna Sallu bhai has to take a place against Shahrukh Khan, he will do it without any question. That is exactly seem to be the case, when it comes to “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” Vs “Son Of Sardaar”. Sallu has made it public that he is supporting “Son Of Sardaar” and going on the record over the media that people should go and watch the film and avoid the King Khan movie. So, the message is loud and clear from Salman that nothing is good between him and Shahrukh.
