After serving Team India in all forms of the Cricket, the former India Captain Rahul Dravid has shown interest in coaching team India in the future if given the opportunity. In a candid interview with the media Rahul Dravid a.k.a. “the wall” expressed his desire to coach Indian Cricket Team for the very first time. Dravid also mentioned that he doesn’t have the level 1/2/3 certificates that people intend to have for coaching sometimes.

The Rajasthan Royals captain-cum-coach, Dravid said- Coaching was part of my role with Royals this IPL season. It was little more than leadership as I was involved in the tactical and coaching side of it… Enjoyed doing it.

Rahul Dravid, traditionally known to be a cool and calm character revealed that he had lost his cool on a couple of occasions during the course of his 16-year-long international career. Dravid said that- “In the privacy of the dressing room, I have let myself go, throwing a few bats. I don’t get angry very often but there have been times when I have been frustrated with myself; maybe after playing a bad shot, after getting out, I have done some damage to some equipment of mine. Once or twice in the course of 20 years, I think you can allow me that at least” .

Jammy as popularly called by his ex-team mates, Rahul Dravid was certainly a world cricketer for India and now it will be really interesting to see if Rahul Dravid will coach Indian Cricket Team or not. In any case, we will keep you posted about Rahul’s journey henceforth !!
