For the first time after announcing his retirement from all the shorter versions of the game, Kevin Pietersen has come in public to express that he is still in love with the shortest version of the International Cricket and would still want to play Twenty-20 cricket if a mutual agreement be reached between him and the England Cricket Board.

Pietersen said: “I hope a compromise can be found. If they want me to play in the World T20 I’ll play, but contracts are contracts.”

“It’s a shame I have to make that decision. If I played for another country where you had months to rest and recuperate and chances to be rested then maybe not but you don’t get that playing for England.”

Pietersen clearly blamed the busy cricket schedule that made take a decision for retirement !!
