The EFLI aims at introducing American football to the Indian market and its large consumer base. The EFLI’s management team consists of both American and Indian business and entertainment executives as well as several American sports figures.

Few of the prominent investors in EFLI include former Green Bay Packers linebacker Brandon Chillar, Super Bowl-winning head coach Mike Ditka, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin and former NFL quarterbacks Ron Jaworski and Kurt Warner. Both Ditka and Irvin are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and Chillar is of Indian descent. Investors outside of the sports community include American actor and entertainment producer Mark Wahlberg.

And if you are a Hyderabadi, there is one more reason to be proud of because Hyderabad has a team in EFLI, Hyderabad Sky Kings !!

Lakshmi Manchu, the tollywood actress, is actively promoting American Football in India. Talking to the media, Lakshmi Manchu said, “I have fond memories of watching American Football back when I was in the US. I am quite excited that the Elite Football League of India (EFLI) is going to kickoff soon. A lot of things have been changing rapidly and most importantly, our attention span has decreased a lot. American Football is a fun sport and it’s quite intense as well. I hope people support this new endeavour.”
