Expected to be a really deciding clash for the next stage of IPL5, the match between Deccan Chargers and RCB was no short of suspense and thrill. To start with Deccan Chargers set a low total of 132 runs for RCB to chase in their 20 overs, but a fighting performance by Deccan Chargers shoved away RCB at only 123/9 in their 20 overs. What also means is that RCB is out of the IPL5 playoffs.

So, Deccan chargers have spoiled RBC’s party, and guess what CSK qualifies for the next round. What a turn around, the odds were all 3 teams (Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, and RCB) had to lose their matches so that CSK could qualify, and that happened. CSK is one super lucky team !!

Steyn was red hot today, absolutely red hot – 4-0-8-3. Those figures don’t even begin to describe the intensity with which be bowled. For sure, there will be emails from Super Kings fans, thanking Chargers and Steyn!!

And this is what Albie Morkel had to say to Steyn on Twitter: “Hooooooooollllliiiiiioooooo.”

So the top four are Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. And that’s how it will remain irrespective of whether Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals or not.

RCB were just too much dependent on Gayle or De Villiers ….. Cant remember a game where they won with both not firing …..Hence, today’s defeat against Chargers has proved the same.

Good news for Deccan Chargers is that they are not finishing last this IPL :), overall some cheers for the Deccan Chargers camp and a lot of happiness in Chennai :)
